This year the Peace Draft Horse Club is asking you to tell us a story of a time that was memorable,
magical or special that occurred at the Northern Spirit Light Show.
The Northern Spirit Light Show has become a tradition for our club and community to enjoy over
the past 16 years. While we think that every year the Northern Spirit Light Show runs is special
and memorable, we want to know what makes it special for you!
If you want to submit your stories to PDHCWagonMaster@gmail.com, with the subject line
“Light Show Memories” for a chance to win a private wagon ride for you and up to 19 of your
friends and family.
We will be accepting entries until November 7th, with the winner announced on November 12
at the Mixer for our sponsors. The winning story will be shared on our Facebook page.
Looking Forward to Seeing All of those Memorable Moments!!!
By entering this contest you are giving your consent to share the story as written, including your name and any other personal information contained within. These stories may appear in news media, at sponsor events, on Facebook or other social media platforms.
Draft horses are known as "the gentle giants" throughout history. They have carried us into battle, and pulled our wagons to help settle the west. These gentle giants plowed our fields and got young children to school on time. Their willingness to work makes them ideal additions to any farm.
Today you can find draft horses farming, logging, pulling floats in parades, and giving wagon and sleigh rides to the young and young at heart.
Interested in draft horses or want to learn to drive horses?
We welcome new members, even if you don't own any horses. Our club is primarily based out of Grande Prairie, Alberta Canada and has members throughout the Peace Country.
We have many activities every year including fun days, farming with horses, shows, parades, Northern Spirit Light Show, and wagon rides for public and private events.
